Due to the social distancing precautions recommended in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic, I am currently serving all my clients via teletherapy. I use a secure Audio/Video solution that allows us to meet virtually.
Divorce is not easy for parents or kids. While everyone has to figure out how to navigate this challenging and complicated change, children often find it to be a particularly difficult adjustment. As a parent, you may notice changes in your adolescent’s behavior or worry about how they are navigating the process.
In our work together, you child will learn how to understand and cope with the thoughts, feelings, and changes they are experiencing, in healthy and effective ways.
My focus is on building a safe, trusting relationship where your child feels supported and understood as they learn how to cope with divorce and new transitions. Many kids feel vulnerable and overwhelmed by conflicting emotions and sudden changes. My role is to support your child in developing the tools they need to adjust to their new family life.
Some key goals in our work:
- learn tools they can use right away to manage their emotions and stressors
- develop skills for coping with and processing changes and transitions
- feel more confident and capable experiencing and expressing their emotions
- gain insight and self-awareness to develop strengths and build resiliency
-feel empowered to build healthy boundaries and relationships
